Workshops

Lately I've done a couple workshops at the RA center. Sometimes photographers who attend are kind enough to send me some pictures to see, which is always nice. I love seeing what they got out of their sessions, and it definitely always helps to see how my posing is ;) here are a couple, with the photographer's info below if you want to check them out!

winter bucket list progress

A while back I posted my winter bucket list of the things I wanted to do this winter. I'm actually doing pretty well, so here's a little instagram-diary of what I've been up to ;)

1. Make a gingerbread house - check!
2. go look at Christmas lights - check! no pictures though. oops.
3. Make ornaments - didn't get around to this :(
4. Skate on the Canal - Canal isn't open yet, but I did go skating at City Hall!
5. Bake sugar cookies & give them to people. Nope, forgot this.
6. Go Snowboarding - check. Several times.
7. Go for a winter hike - check. No pictures, but many 'hikes'
8. Make a snowman - check.
9. Go tobogganing behind a horse - not yet. I plan to though!
10. Decorate Christmas tree - check.
11. Make a winter wreath - check. I'm leaving it up all winter!

Hop you had a wonderful holiday and that your new years was fantastic :) I was unfortunately sick with the flu for new years, but I'm thankful now for my health more than ever!!

Nerding out

My outfit today is very nerdy and warm. The two best things, in my opinion :)

For the Love of knee-high socks

This fall I've been embracing the tights and knee high socks trend (is it a trend? Who knows). It's warmer and adds a bit of texture to an otherwise boring outfit.

I think next time I wear this I'll ditch the belt. I don't really like how it looks here, but whatever.

Another outfit post

Lately I've been trying to wear my clothes in several different ways. In the past, I've been known to wear a sweater only one way, with a certain pair of pants and shoes and jewelry, and I find that although I have a ton of clothes, I have limited outfits. So, to make sure I don't slip back into old habits (and to make sure I don't buy more clothes), I've decided to start posting my outfits here. This is my way of 'publicly holding myself accountable', since posting something on a blog makes me feel like other people will care if I fuck it up (I know you don't, but a girl can pretend).

This is what I wore today. I usually wear this sweater with leggings, but alas, they go with real pants too! Haha. My boyfriend begrudgingly took these pictures for me.

Sparkly shorts obsession

I bought these shorts impulsively when I was shopping on Black Friday. I just thought 'ooooh, sparkles' and bought them without thinking, since they were a) only $10 and b) actually in my size. Turns out they can be worn with a few different things I already own, which I didn't expect. Also, you know, SPARKLES!
